Comic Con was certainly a good time, as always, but this year it was a little extra good because I was part of a big announcement! On Saturday, it was formally announced at the WildStorm panel that I am the new inker for the WildCats series being written by Adam Beechen, drawn by Tim Seeley, and colored by Carlos Badilla!
In case you missed the panel, you can listen to the podcast (all of the DC panels are available over here) and read CBR's write-up over here.
What you won't get in either place, though, is me cramming my lunch into my face, hoping not to be called upon - only to have my name announced and having to stand and wave to the audience with my mouth full of tacos!
There was a hearty laugh from the (capacity) crowd* when Adam talked about which characters would be featured in the new series :
“Basically what happened was that these guys got to cherry pick who they
wanted,” Beechen joked. “Everybody else is in ‘WildCats.’ We had a draft. I got the ninth pick.”

I am honored to be working with the talented WildStorm team, including a surprise of working under the same umbrella once again with Phil Hester (who wrote the series of the Darkness that I've been inking for the past year).

Thank you to everyone who came to the panel discussions and the Top Cow booth where I did a few signings. It's always great to see everyone!

Shameless plug: don't forget to vote for the Harvey Awards! If you haven't decided who you're favorite inker is, I'm happy to suggest someone. :)
*I'm glad that so many people came, but unfortunately Jim Lee ran out of fresh baked cookies to pass around!
