Sorry for the silence over here - just been so busy that I haven't had time to put ANYTHING together. Which is a really lame excuse, but it's true.
Phoenix Comic Con was awesome. Flat out, Phoenix brings it. It was an all-around fun show and everyone we met was so nice. There was a huge CosPlay audience at the show and those kids were so cute and friendly. Ryan made lots of new friends and got to hang out with lots of folks that don't usually make it out to the big shows (NY, San Diego).
Since Phoenix, Ryan has been to 2 more shows. First off to New York Comic Con which was super fun. Met lots of great people and Ryan had a blast at his signing session with Frazer Irving at the Top Cow booth, who is a fantastic fartist, by the way* (bonus: his accent makes "fartist" sound like music). Ryan also got to meet and chat with Ramona Fradon which made the whole trip. This was the first time Ryan has made it to NY since 2007, and it was great to see how much the show has grown!
This past weekend, he went to WonderCon in San Francisco. Another fun time, great show (already booking space for next year!), and lots of great people. He also got invited to the 100 Bullets party at Isotope Comics and even got to create a toilet seat for their Toilet Seat Museum! Thanks to everyone at Isotope & James for a great evening!
*the table top sign for Frazer had his name and underneath, it said "artist" in brackets like this: { but the fancy font was italicized and looked like an F.
